The Nimitz is inspired by the namesake of the dominating NIMITZ class aircraft carriers and is a squared-off metal frame aviator, featuring a metal rim, with modern flat lenses and our signature bold branding on the arm. So whether you're ripping AIM-9X’s off the rails, running airspace from the tower, or just need a great pair of sunglasses to seek the heat in— you can trust that the Nimitz has the thrust to get you off the deck.

"I have owned several pairs of Heatwaves over the years, and this pair is by far my favorite. These aviator look and feel extremely premium, and not flimsy like most other aviators out there. These aviator look “HEATWAVE” on the arm bar is subtle enough to not be flashy, but bold enough to let people know what glasses you’re rocking if they ask.
