Wizard-like photochromic lenses are now available for the Performance Line. These adaptive lenses adjust from a clear to dark tint depending on the light intensity in your environment, and boast a wide VLT range at 75%-17%

Boasting the same great features as the standard Vise®, The XL version are (you guessed it) EXTRA-LARGE Heat Wave frames.

We took the time-tested design of the Vise® and added an extra 10mm in width and jacked up the ride height to 5mm to provide Godzilla-like, larger than life comfort and coverage.

About The Performance XL Vise®: Introducing a complete evolution in product - We’ve taken our legacy XL Vise® frame and given it a complete overhaul, making them Z87+ out of the box, featuring new performance arms, with an integrated Quick-Latch side-shield system. In the comfort department you will find rubberized touch points throughout the frame also ensuring that the frames stay in place on your face. The cherry on top of the performance line is a lens matched side shield melds form and function together for a look that is flat out stunning and is entirely unique to the performance line.

Performance line features include 2mm thick lenses that meet ANSI Z.87 mass impact requirements plus an all-new extended length arm, specifically designed for our standard frame range, with new beveled emblems. The all-new Quick-Latch side-shield system provides lateral protection from debris and unwanted side light meeting ANSI Z87+ standards with side shields installed. Rubberized Hytrel® inserts are strategically placed in the arms and, notably, now the nose bridge for a fit that is not only more comfortable, but grips and stays in place.

Our lens is injection molded from thick 2mm shatter-resistant polycarbonate that is built to withstand ANSI Z87 Mass Impact Standards.

Quick detach side-shields provide lateral protection and allow the frame to meet ANSI Z87+ requirements.

Each pair is boldly marked Z87+ on the frame, arm and lens.

Disclaimer: Side shields must be in place to satisfy Z87+ requirements. Incorrect removal or installation of parts may void Z87 compliance. It is the wearers responsibility to make a visual inspection on glasses to ensure all parts are secure and that the glasses are in good condition before each use.

Side-shields are easily removed and installed with a slide of the integrated lever making swaps effortless and more intuitive than ever before with no wear on the frame or side shield.

Lens Technology

The variable tint range of these lenses adjusts from a very clear 75% to a very chill 17% VLT of darkness, all in under 30 seconds. So when you're inside your garage grinding off all the bubblegum welds from a sweet barn find C10, you'll have crystal clear, z87 protection. When it's time to jam outside for the 5th Home Depot run of the day, the lenses will smoothly transition from clear to grey in a matter of seconds.

While these will NOT get as dark as our standard Black lenses. We picked a transition lens to provide ideal clarity indoors and as dark as possible outdoors to maximize the wearer's utility of this eyewear.

2mm thick Polycarbonate lens that meets or exceeds mass impact requirements for Z87 standards, injection molded to the highest standards and tested to ensure optimal clarity, along with color and light transmission standards.

We use only the highest quality photochromic filters on our lenses for optimal glare reduction and supreme clarity

"5-Star Review I picked up a pair of these XL sunglasses for work, and overall I’m really impressed. The XL size might be a touch too big even for my large head, these are definitely built for some seriously big noggins. That said, the extra coverage is actually a big plus when I’m working around NH3 or brazing. The oversized fit gives me better side and top protection, which is exactly what I need in those situations. My only real complaint is the tint. I expected it to be much darker, but it’s surprisingly subtle. It doesn’t take a lot of ambient light for the lenses to activate, which is unfortunate when I’m working indoors. Because of that, I’d personally recommend grabbing two pairs, one set for outdoor use and one for indoor work. Build quality is excellent though. These feel very durable and well made. I liked them enough that I’m already ordering two more pairs right now. Solid safety sunglasses that I’d buy again. Just consider sizing and your lighting conditions when deciding how many to get."

Are/can these lenses be polarized?: No we do not make polarizes photochromic lenses.
Is it possible to remove the "Photochromic" and "Z87+" stickers/label from the left lens?: No, it is laser etched in the lens from the factory and can not be removed.
